So many details to comment on! Anna looks so young and eager; Elsa looks slightly other-worldly; the difference gives this drawing a feeling of bittersweet, temporary peace and happiness. The way Elsa is using only one hand on her doll, while Anna's using two, adds to this feeling. There's also the obvious fact that Elsa's back is turned. She strikes me as almost tragic here. Add to this the design of the window: it doesn't open, and although it's the light source, it blocks everything that isn't in the foreground. Then there are the drapes: heavy and dark, and looking as though they're ready to close. These features reinforce the idea that we're seeing a fleeting moment. The dolls are very cute, and they're wearing crowns while the real figures aren't! That strikes me as really funny! This is a powerful, complicated piece of art you've made. Thank you for sharing it with us.
